Since 2019, I have partnered with Mother Tongue—an independent vinyl pressing plant, record label, and distributor based in my hometown of Verona, Italy.
This ongoing collaboration has evolved into a true creative playground, allowing me to explore the tactile intersection of design, apparel, and independent music. My overarching goal has always been to craft visual narratives that reflect the authentic, raw energy of the label and its deep roots in physical media and local community.
In this role, my work is highly collaborative and spans a diverse range of tangible formats. When developing the visual direction for official label releases, I work directly with the musicians. I had the honor of working with musicians like Ron Trents, Theo Parrish, Gerald Mitchell, Kaidi Tatham, Mark De Clive Lowe and more. By setting up dedicated brainstorming calls, I dig into their creative process, understanding exactly where their minds go when conceptualizing their music so I can accurately translate their vision into compelling cover art. This creative input also extends to apparel and bespoke physical merchandise, designing everything from graphic t-shirts to the packaging for a custom beer can, a special collaboration with the iconic Italian workwear brand Roy Roger's and more.
Beyond traditional merchandise and packaging, a cornerstone of this partnership is community building and experimental production. I design flyers and promotional materials for the label's events, creating a cohesive visual language that translates their sonic identity into engaging communication.
This hands-on, analog approach allows me to push the boundaries of standard production, resulting in bespoke, collectible pieces that celebrate the craft of independent music.
